Categories:
Smile:  Smile and the world smiles along with you.  Search among the smiles around you and photograph the ones that project true joy.     No posed shots please.

Leading Lines:  When you want to create a meaningful composition use leading lines  to draw the viewers eyes through the photo to a focal point that you want to highlight.
Ex:  a winding road, a railroad track leading to the distance, a farm fence leading to a barn, or the gentle curve of the waters edge along the beach.)

Split Second:  Capture a high speed moment...this does not need to be sports related...think of anything that moves and make sure to have your shutter speed adjusted to stop the movement.

Macro:  This category is especially for those who love to take super close-up photos.  Photos can portray natural or man-made subjects.

Nature:  This category is fairly open.  Photos of wildlife, flowers, landscapes, trees, and even under water shots are welcome.

Out of Context:  Something in the photo just doesn’t belong.  Your shot should be based on visual humour or intrigue... "how did that get there?"  (Ex:  summer sun hat in the snow, a car on the roof of a building.)
